Pregnancy and Postpartum Exercise with physio Paula Hindle on The Pelvic Health Podcast


Paula Hindle has over 18 years in the health and fitness industry since completing her degree in exercise physiology and a Masters degree in Physiotherapy at the University of Queensland. Paula developed a strong interest in women’s health physiotherapy after working in public hospitals, and set up her private practice Yummy Mummy Physio in 2004, specialising in obstetrics, gynaecology, pregnancy and postnatal exercise. She works alongside ob/gyn’s at Bayside Obstetrics and Gynaecology and Mater Redland’s Hospital at Cleveland. She also works out of function training facility, Perform 360, at Enoggera in Brisbane, where she runs 8 week challenges for new Mums. She has a passion for working with female athletes and supporting women to return to the activities they love post birth. She also has online physiotherapy and dietitian designed pregnancy and postnatal healthy living programs. She is active on social media, advocating healthy living, self care, and promoting mental wellness and resilience strategies for women and their families. She is also a solo Mum of 2 kids.

In this episode, Paula discusses some of the controversies surrounding exercise in pregnant and postpartum women and how she works with personal trainers and gyms to infiltrate their mind
